We have been hard at work here at Doggonit! for almost two months upgrading the barn and property to get it ready to open. When we leased the property, we were told there was water and electricity in the barn. Turns out that wasn't quite accurate. Thus we've had a few setbacks with getting open but we haven't lost our optimism and excitement even though we have a trench from the house to the front of the property right now that resembles more of a raging river with all the recent crazy rainfall.
We were really hoping to be open next week but have had a few bumps in the road, which is to be expected when taking on a project like this. Despite moving our opening date for another week or two, we are still hugely excited about Doggonit! and we know you are going to love us too!
We have two of the happiest dogs on the face of the earth - Jasper and Lemonia (we call her Lemon, for short) - and they have no idea what is in the near future for them. Jasper is a four year old SPCA rescue; full of spunk and energy. Lemon is a rescue from Santorini, Greece. She found us on Monolithos Beach and her personality reminds me so much of Pippi Longstocking - so carefree, fearless and so happy to be a part of our family. She is 18 pounds of curls and cuteness. Both of them have such a zest for life and we get a kick out of their happiness.
We can't wait for you to come check our facilities out and meet us. Once we get closer to clearing some of these renovation hurdles we have encountered, we will let you know when Doggonit! is ready for guests!
